Saturday Nov.15, 6-7 p.m. – Interview with flutist Catherine Ramirez

This coming Saturday Catherine Ramirez will make her Scordatura debut from 6-7 p.m. A phenomenal flutist, well versed in many styles, she made a name for herself inside the Chicago new music scene before heading south for her doctoral studies at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. Continuing her dedication to new music, she has agreed to allow us to prod her about her time in Chicago and her thought on the flute and new music in general.
